Cape Town Water Crisis

Cape Town, South Africa, is currently facing dangerous environmental changes due to its population growth, its over development, and its exaggerated use of water. Drinking water is being a difficult product to attain because of the inflated prices of bottled water; the prices have risen dramatically due to traders taking advantage of the water crisis. The government has asked its citizens to decrease their water usage in January, further decreasing the amount they should consume to 50 litres a day, yet if Cape Town’s residents do not apply the government’s advice, ‘Day Zero’ will arrive sooner than expected.
