Scottish Independence

In 2014, Scotland had a referendum regarding its independence from the UK. The results were 53% in favour of staying and 47% in favour of independence. In Brexit, Scotland voted largely "Remain." This has led to speculation that there will be increased campaigning for Scottish independence; the leader of the Scottish National Party - Nicola Sturgeon - has said that the SNP will "begin to prepare the legislation to allow a new referendum to take place" before the UK leaves the European Union.
